April Aguilar is a native New Yorker and Brooklynite. She was encouraged to become a hairdresser by a fellow stylist, her grandmother.

She apprenticed with celebrity stylist Ric Pipino (becoming immersed in high end beauty, editorial work, and fashion shows) before becoming a curly hair specialist. She was hand picked and trained by the founder of Devachan Salon, Lorraine Massey. She is an Advanced Curl Specialist with over 11 years experience with textured clients of all curl types, April calls her technique “Magic” because of the immediate visual results dry sculpting allows.
