Jose started his career over 30 years ago in a top salon in Great Neck, Long Island. Fatefully, a client mentioned a name that would alter the course of Jose’s career. It led to the renown John Sahag, owner of a prestigious salon on Madison Avenue, where John personally educated his hand-picked staff in the art of dry hair cutting. The journey of a lifetime began with one train ride into New York City.
Fashion shows, photo shoots, TV appearances, platform work, super models, rock stars, actors, socialites, and high-profile movers and shakers followed.
Working alongside some of the best in the industry in top Madison Avenue Salons, namely John Sahag, John Frieda, Eiji, and Hiro Haraguchi, perfected Jose’s haircutting skills and boosted his exposure.
Three decades later, Jose’s loyal following can find him operating two Sola Salon Studios with his wife and partner, Danielle, in Westport Connecticut and Cedar Knolls, New Jersey.
