Erik Emblen, our lead stylist and founder, has done the hair of over 2000 curly haired women. He is a master of the dry cutting method for all types of curly and wavy hair. Erik is also an expert at Pintura highlighting, which is a hair coloring technique for creating natural looking, sun-kissed, effortlessly beautiful hair.

Erik is a Certified DevaCurl Stylist and a Certified Ouidad Stylist. He has studied at Vidal Sassoon Academy London, Vidal Sassoon Academy San Francisco, Phyto New York, L’Oreal Soho Academy and Aveda Academy. Erik works exclusively with curly hair and brings a wealth of knowledge to Devana Salon. He is in charge of the extensive training program which all of our curly hair stylists must complete.
